Apron feeder Introduction
Light, medium and heavy-duty plate feeders are extensively employed across industries including building materials, metallurgy, power generation, coal, chemicals and foundry work. They are particularly well-suited for conveying solid materials characterised by high moisture content, elevated temperatures, large particle sizes, sharp edges and high abrasiveness. Within the cement industry, they represent the preferred choice for clinker conveyance at the kiln tail of vertical kilns.

Working Principle oF Apron Chain Plate Feeder

Apron chain plate feeder for cement is mainly composed of rolling bearings, sprockets, support rollers, hydraulic couplings, tensioning devices, and other parts. The power of the motor (or hydraulic motor) drives the sprocket to rotate through components such as couplings and reducers. The sprocket drives the conveyor chain and the chain plate to move forward together. At this time, the materials stacked on the chain plate move forward along with the chain plate, and are unloaded at the head of the plate feeder to achieve continuous feeding. During operation, the working part of the conveyor chain is supported by the upper support wheel, while the return chain plate is supported by the lower support wheel.
